Long time no post...

So much has happened since I've last updated. Long story short: My (great-)uncle Jimmy fell, hurt his leg and wound up in the hospital. They ran tests and somehow found out he had a tumor in his stomach and that he had cancer all throughout his body. Three weeks later (Dec 8) he died, ten thirty PM. We had seen him the day before, and I don't know, I just kept telling myself that he would survive, that he was strong. Even when he was given his last rites, I still could not believe he was dying in front of us all. I still haven't cried-cried. I've shed a few tears in the hospital, but that was about it. I don't know why I haven't cried, I feel kind of bad about it. Then again, my mom and uncle Chris haven't either.

Before that, I went to NYC (see post below), then immediately after I spent all of November doing NaNoWriMo. I won, with 51,299 words and was pretty damn proud of myself. I also managed to meet my aunt Evelyn at the NaNo kick-off party. Small fucking world, huh? It was sort of weird, but I've been slowly getting used to the idea of having her in my life. My "dad" (he wasn't really there in life, so I feel weird calling him that) called me earlier this week and we talked for a few hours--only for me to find out the real reason he called: about child support he was paying mom; he didn't care to takl to me after all. That was a kick in the fucking gnads.

All that aside, I've an appointment with the Mood Disorders clinic in January, so hopefully I'll be getting proper treatment for my anxiety/paranoia/ocd/depression. Uhh shit, what else... OOH, mom got a job (for the first time in like, twenty two years) and she's done pretty good so far. I'm impressed. Now all I have to do is call St. Charles and see about registration and such (I dropped out of highschool in grade nine, so I'm going to an adult highschool to get my credentials) and I should be set for January!

Jeeez... I didn't mean to ignore Vox so much, haha, I just figure no one really reads it or visits the site, so why bother? Ha, and I have an LJ and my blog on my domain, harhar. Journal whore much? xD

So, how's everyone else been?

New York City - Oct '06

  • Oct 30, 2006

So.. I went to NEW YORK CITY totally spur-of-the-moment. I would copy and paste the entire entry here, but I'm too lazy, and besides, it took an entire hour to get the formatting right using HTML. VOX doesn't let me use HTML (damn WYSIWUG editor) and I'm not re-doing this. Leave your comments on the entry linked above if you have an LJ account, or just let me know who you are on VOX so I don't accidentially mark your anon. comment as spam.

Celebrity Look-a-likes!

  • Oct 25, 2006
  • Post a comment

So there's this website where you can put your picture in and you get results saying which celebrities "look" like you/you look like. Y'know.

Since the results are flash and won't post right in LJ so my results are below. I've done the three-times-a-charm thing and tried it with three photos of me to see if any of the celebs showed more than once. The results are fucking ridiculous, man. Here, have a laugh:

Photo One [LINK]

Frank Sinatra (64%)
Alyson Hannigan (64%)
Bernard Pivot (63%)
Sheryl Crow (62%)
Angelina Jolie (62%)
Carolyn Murphy (62%)
Gilles Villeneuve (61%)
Julia Stiles (60%)
Samaire Armstrong (57%)

Photo Two [LINK]

James Spader (72%)
Janeane Garofalo (74%)
Nana Mouskouri (73%) **i like her music, actually
Gillian Chung (71%)
Abhishek Bachchan (70%)
Richard Gere (70%) **HAHAHAHAHA *ahem*
Kana (68%)
Bae Yong-jun (68%)
Eugene Levy (64%) **gee.. thanks..
Wen Jiabao (64%)

**gee mew, im getting a ton of asian results. is THAT why you've been so flirty/huggy lately? hmmmmmmmmmmm? can't resist the not-so-asian-but-apparently-asian charm, huh.

...and one more result:

Photo Three [LINK]

John Williams (73%)
Janeane Garofalo (72%)
Elvis Costello (68%)
Nana Mouskouri (67%)
Benazir Bhutto (66%)
Alicia Silverstone (62%)
Kevin Smith (62%) **wth man! get real!
Larry King (62%) **again, wth...
Richard Avedon (61%) **is someone trying to tell me i need to go on 'ten years younger'?
Sean Lennon (61%)

It seems I closely resemble Janeane Garofalo and Nana Mouskouri. Sweet deal. (Am I weird thinking maybe something as silly as this could maybemaybemaybe make me stop with the obsessive 'Imsofuckingugly' bit?)

TRY IT!!! And let me know your results. Even the lame/goofy/stupid/embarassing ones. Pimp this post around—I want to see who everyone else got. =D

All in all, it was a good night. Went skateboarding for the first time in years with my cousin Kenny, played that table hockey thing game (its like foosball or something) with my cousin Timmy, had a rather awesome and 'adult' conversation with my aunt Flo (no shark week jokes or I'll cut your face) then talked hair with my aunt Sandy and napped abit.

Dinner was good. No fucking turkey though, so I was disappointed. Aunt Flo insisted I have a glass of chardonnay, and I stated loudly, 'NO ONE DRINK THE WINE. ITS POISONED' because I swear, it tasted like someone's asshole (not that I've licked ass but you know what I mean) and everyone laughed.

My uncle Christ took a picture of me when I was napping and I was drooling (durrr sick hullo?) then we watched hockey and then we came home and now I've a headache like there's no tomorrow and Mew isn't only so we can't continue writing our smut rp. I'm disappointed.

Oh, before I forget, I wanted to share the three things that piss me off about LiveJournal:

i) People who post memes --honestly, no one gives a shit which HP character you are, or what the fuck your LJ seks life if like

ii) People who post fucking song lyrics. Might mean something to you, but the rest of us dont like scrolling half an entire page (and this is with a nineteen inch monitor which is pretty big) just to get to the entry under yours. In short, we don't care so don't do it.

iii) Thinspiration. What the fuck? Seriously, I want to break every bone in that crackhead Kate Moss' body, I think if I so much as sneezed, Nicole Ritchie would fucken fall apart faster than the WTC's did and the Olsen twin who was anorexic? Please. Just. Don't.

I think the Olsen twins should just make a fucking porno together so people would shut up about them. SRSLY.

WHAT THREE THINGS BUG YOU ABOUT LJ?

Enlighten me. I like opinions. =)

Dumpster fires, transcripts and the like.

I’ve been getting prepared for NaNoWriMo and kinda sorta postwhoring at the forums, harhar. I’m totally stoked. I want it to be November now rather than later, but if it were November now, that would mean it would be cold as fuck and snowing and blah. Then again, last November is was so warm we ended up getting a tornado.

Onto more interesting things, I had to go to my old highschool to pick up my transcripts, so I hauled Mew along. There were a ton of kids out the front so we went around back and just as we walked past this dumpster I noticed it was totally smoking. Took a look and sure enough, there were flames. Told one of the teachers then went on to guidance to put in an order for my transcripts and was told I needed to fucken pay for them now, since I’ve been out of school for more than a year. Five dollars might not seem like a lot of money to you but my mom and I don’t even see that much money in a WEEK, so what the hell? So much for going back to school this year -_-;

Ooh, I saw my doctor this evening and was taught some breathing exercises to do the next time I have an anxiety attack, so I’m hoping they work. I’m going to start setting short-term goals for myself to reach in attempt to bring my anxiety down to a more manageable level. It was easy doing it with my temper. I’m sure I could do it with my anxiety as long as I keep on trying. =)

AIM & VOX

WTH. This is just a small, itty problem, but it bothers me nonetheless anyway. I have my AIM/Y!/MSN/GTALK names in my profile, sí? But AIM/Y! never show that I am online, even when I know I am logged in to them! Does anyone else have this problem? Because it's annoying the piss outta me.

If anyone does want to IM me--chances are, I am online, even if this place says I'm not. I'm always online, haha. I've nothing better to do.

Soo… I FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY updated my collective! Its about time, too. The layout had been bothering me for ages. If you want, check it out and let me know what you think. xD

Site shizen aside, I think I’m finally coming out of the little funk I’ve been in the last two weeks *knocks wood HARD* I’m not crying as much–I haven’t cried at all in a day now so whee!–and other than a tiny panic attack yesterday night, I would have to say I am doing much better. The worst is over, at least. Mom’s gone out drinking for the day–she hasn’t all week, and it’s the weekend so I don’t much mind–and if season three of CSI: Miami finishes downloading in less than *opens BitTorrent* nineteen hours, I’ll probably watch that the rest of the night. I’m so boring, aren’t I?

On the g-design front, I have over thirty Miami icons to upload to OneHundred, as well as to SFV–my graphics LJ. I still have twenty more pictures I want to use for that set of icons, so I guess I’ll be uploading more than the original thirty xD Seems my weekend is already planned out, harhar. I was hoping Craig would call or something so we could go shoot some pool down at Main Billiards but he’s a guy, and guys never call when you want them to P

Also, I think part of the reason I am acting so weird lately is that I don't have anything to do that will distract me. I’ll admit it, I don’t have anything better to do than to sit online all day. Shoot, if I had more than one or two friends in the city maybe I wouldn’t spend my entire gorram life here xD

Someone wanna give me their life? Just for a day? *puppy face* Harhar. Kidding. Maybe. Unless you’re the wife of Wil Wheaton–in which case I would gladly trade places!
